Luxury Private Residence Of Retro Loft Interior Style

Retro Loft Style – eine Kombination der besten Designideen aus New York und London

The ‘Retro Loft Style’ of this Kaohsiung, Taiwan apartment combines the industrial charm of a New York Penthouse with the elegance of a London townhouse. Capturing a delicate balance between raw and refined tastes, the designers have made optimal use of the openness of the living room and its adjoining areas.

Throughout the main living spaces, a subdued colour palette is used. In the living room, the designers specified a pale Poltrona Frau sofa, alongside dark carpet and wooden flooring, which infuse earthy tones. Large floor-to-ceiling windows bring natural daylight into the room, thus injecting energy into the space. A feature rope chandelier wrapped around iron pieces fully draws out the industrial character of the space. In addition, a casual seating area next to living room makes it easy to read and relax within a comfortable home environment. The dining room features a marble table with wooden dining chairs, and large metal chandeliers, again a clever blend of diverse styles. A custom designed storage wall with video display addresses both sides of the room, subtly separating the living and dining spaces, while ensuring free movement throughout the spaces. Next to the dining area area, a Bulthaup kitchen from Germany interprets the Nakajima-style bar. Metal lustre contrasts with warm wood, echoing the low-key luxury throughout. In order to be distinguished from the retro loft style of the main areas, the bedrooms add marble, cultured stone and two-coloured Spanish tiles to the design palette. The bathroom in the master bedroom features grey stone with black and white marble, alongside a freestanding Avea bathtub from Villeroy & Boch. Fixtures from the Villeroy & Boch Subway 2.0, Architectura and O.novo lines are further used in all of the apartment’s bathrooms. In summary, each space is finely detailed with a personal style. The overall impression is one of home comfort with a unique combination of styles and design elements.
